I'm still trying to figure out how you have the time to keep busting out these commissions! It's insane - mostly because they are all so well done and you're still just cranking them out! Gorgeous, as per usual. What do you do differently for the CG coloring?
Lucky!! Work leaves me too drained to do much art these days.
And yeah, I can totally tell. I've done both and haven't figured out which I like more yet. How do you go about your CG though? If I burn it, then the shadows don't seem as realistic often, but I can never blend it right to paint with multiple shades.
Yeah, school will leave me drained once it starts on Monday. ;-; Not looking forward to that...
Whenever I CG I usually do the shadows a bit darker than I would in cell-shading, and I would add 3-4(4-5 for hair) different layers, to give the piece more depth. After that I use the oil brush in paint tool Sai. I like how that blends more than the blur/watercolor tool - it's more of a messy blur(when I say messy I mean I don't blend every little bit of it, I blend a section, then only do a few strokes for another section, so it's not too much, you know?) and it really helps create other tones in the piece.
